BEST AFFORDABLE BEDROOM SET:
We love a neutral themed home so the hunt was on for bedroom furniture that was neutral but different. After looking online for hours, the most affordable options were to opt for bedroom sets instead of trying to buy individual items. Bedroom furniture can be very difficult!
Buying bedroom furniture online was impossible for me so we headed to the store. We went to all the local stores: Ashley Furniture, Raymour and Flanigan, Raymour and Flanigan Outlet, Bob’s Furniture, and other local stores. I did not like any of the sets I saw! The most affordable and neutral set I could find was from the Raymour and Flanigan Outlet.
I think the room looks cozy and has a modern farmhouse twist and I am happy it was all done on a budget! The lights are battery operated and make a great book light during bedtime. Check out our bedroom set here.

Our Bedroom Remodel-The Before
For our wall color we chose Benjamin Moore Classic Gray. I love this paint color so much! Definitely not a gray (despite the name), but more like a beige with gray undertones (check out our homes wall colors post).
Let’s get into the before of the bedroom! When we bought our home, the primary bedroom was beige with a pink carpet and matching pink heart wallpaper lining the room. Definitely not our style so we got to work and painted the walls.
After we painted, we swapped out the old fan for a more modern one and removed the brown trim work and replaced it with white. Lastly, we ditched the pink carpet and swapped it for a light cream carpet.
